VOX TOASTMASTERS MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Vox Toastmasters Club is an open club, comprised of members from the community at large. Although we meet at a location hosted by IBM, our members include professionals from other companies in the area, students, and neighbors who all come together to help each other improve our communication and leadership skills. Your company affiliation is not a consideration in your membership. We welcome you to visit our weekly meeting and explore the possibilities of joining our club.
Toastmasters is an effective and widely used tool for people who aspire to take on or improve in a role of Management, Leadership, Sales and Marketing, Public Relations, Communications and Media, Public Speaking, and others. Some key benefits include:

Members of our club agree to support each other in our cooperative self-development of communication and leadership skills. To that end, we make specific commitments to ourselves and to our club, as outlined in "A Toastmasters Promise".
A TOASTMASTER'S PROMISE
As a member of Toastmasters International and my Club, I promise...
* To attend all Club meetings regularly;
* To prepare all of my speeches to the best of my ability, basing them on projects in the Communication and Leadership Program manual or the Advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals;
* To willingly prepare for and fulfill meeting assignments;
* To provide fellow members with helpful, constructive evaluations;
* To help the Club maintain the positive, friendly environment necessary for all members to learn and grow;
* To willingly serve my Club as an officer when called upon to do so;
* To treat my fellow Club members and our guests with respect and courtesy;
* To bring guests to Club meetings so they can see the benefits Toastmasters membership offers;
* To adhere to the guidelines and rules for all Toastmasters educational and recognition programs;
* To maintain honest and highly ethical standards during the conduct of all Toastmasters activities.
The cost of membership is quite reasonable, and includes Toastmasters International dues, Vox Toastmasters Club dues, and one-time individualized fees for a new member packet or advanced project manuals. Members pay dues for 6-month periods which begin on April 1 and October 1. New members who join in the middle of a term pay pro-rated dues.
As of April 1, 2008, the semiannual dues are:
$27.00 Toastmasters International dues
$12.00 Vox Toastmasters Club dues
Project manual prices:
$21.50 New member packet (including tax)
$ 4.00 Advanced manuals
